Bargain Holidays to Lanzarote

Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, identified as Conejera, claims to have more than one hundred volcanoes. It is one of the largest Canary Islands and the furthest east of the chain. Hidden within the Atlantic Ocean, with scenic sandy beaches, it is a perfect place to go to cheaply during the summer and the winter months.

Heated by the Sahara desert merely around 80 kilometres away, you can sunbathe in comfort at Playa Blanca, on the southwest part of Lanzarote. Playa Blanca is home to a number of top beaches, lined with sunbeds, showers, and an ocean promenade. There is Puerto del Carmen, possibly the biggest holiday resort which boasts a wonderful 12km soft sandy coast that stretches from Matagorda up to the Old Town.

Timanfaya National Park, which is the home of the Montanas del Fuego (Mountains of Fire) is also to be found on Lanzarote. Admission into the park by the general public is strictly regulated. There are one or two footpaths, in addition to a popular short camel trip.

The town of Jameos del Agua, a area that accommodates the Agricola Museum, a restaurant, a series of caves identified as the Cueva de los Verdes, and the lookout at Mirador del Rio are low-cost places to see. There is a concert cave at the end of Jameos Grande. This hall has amazing natural acoustics and offers Musical performances.

Lanzarote hotels tend to be more traditional-looking somewhat than the modern type found in other countries, but this all makes apparent the prettiness of the island of Lanzarote. You can stumble on reduced accommodation in nearly all of the villas and low-season bargains are worth looking into as you can grab a great bargain.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced calming retreat, go to Lanzarote. You will find reduced offers on villas throughout the year along with colourful local markets, duty-free shopping and magnificent sights of mountains, volcanic lava flows, transparent waters and black and white sandy beaches.
